During the 2020 pandemic it was easy to focus on all that was difficult, isolating, or wrong. Nature defied our stupor by insisting on the consistency of the sun rising each morning with bold and colorful displays. Nature’s spectacular show, as depicted in the painting Resilience (30” x 30”, Oil on canvas), is a powerful message of hope and expectation of beautiful things to come.

Hidden Gem (16” X 20” - Oil on Canvas) is a depiction of the journey to find that which the viewer seeks. The vibrant colors are a signal of hope and possibility. While viewing Awestruck (30” x 30”) we are reminded of the moment just before dawn, when the horizon is at its very darkest point. Then slowly, second-by-second, the sky begins to show powerful streaks of gold which unfolds into a spectacular display of natural fireworks. In reverent silence we stand in awe.

A storm has just swathed the Grasslands (18” x 24”) with showers to cool, heal, and nourish. The viewer is relieved by the parting clouds just above the mountains on the horizon line. The darkness is dissipating to reveal a calm blue, offering peace and hope for the journey ahead.
